Thanks - those are very nice plots. The stock SB3 looks pretty damn good, especially the right channel.
One question - is it possible the channels were reversed in your SB3 test? I'm wondering whether that little bit of junk in the left channel might be associated with the known problem of the display causing noise, but that's only audible in the right channel (at least in mine). Does that firewire device have a digital out?
