Get a pair of stupidly heavy stands (Target did some), the kind you can't even pick up - lead shot and so on.
Blu-tac on those would mean kid would need to push the top half of the speaker very hard indeed, and it would fall away from him. If you're still unhappy about this, try getting some sort of D-clamp that you can put underneath, or just bite the bullet and screw some short fat screws into the bottom of the speakers!
