I am toying with the idea of purchasing an SB3 with the intent of using the digital out to go to my RAKDAC. The RAKDAC uses the BB PCM1794 24bit 192khz chip and has a nice passive output stage built with Lundahl transformers.
The reason I am interseted in the SB3 is that I think it would let me take advantage of 24bit audio where I don't think I am reaping th full benefit of this dac from CD's 16bit PCM format. I have seen comments about the SB3 not being able to take advantage of 24/96 flac files.
