I would certainly agree that my post was a generalisation. The point I
was trying to make is that consumers listening in rooms that have
absorbent decoration and can be quite large are not going to be filled
with pleasant sound if you use a small studio monitor type speaker. I
am sure there are full range studio monitors, but I an sure that the
listening experience is often very close to the speakers and in rooms
with high reverberation times.

T'other guy. I would assume that most speakers are put together in the
first place by a knowledgeable designer who uses a PC programme to
select drivers and cross overs and enclosure volume etc. They will
almost certainly put together many variations and test these in real
listening rooms of varying types to refine the design.

How these designs can be represented by over complex measurement i
don't know. There are so many variables that I wonder which information
is relevant for any particular listening experience. At the end of the
day, IMHO, the only way to get a good speaker is to try it in the
listening room at home. So in short, no.
