I remember LE/DE and also a strange moment when someone suggested reversing the LE/DE...not sure that ever took off - all a bit of a blur these days. My studio had an isolated control room that was treated (dead) but the recording space outside was live except for the vocal booth which was compeletly isolated and the drum booth - which was small and had the issues with rock drums you describe - there was always lot of reverb going onto those drums... By moving the mics nearer/further to the amps you could mix the room sound in with the direct mic'ed sound. Ah - happy days. -- Phil Leigh You want to see the signal path BEFORE it gets onto a CD/vinyl...it ain't what you'd call minimal... ...SB3+TACT+Altmann+MF DACXV3/Linn tri-amped Aktiv 5.1 system and some very expensive cables ;o) ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Phil Leigh's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=85 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=37059 _______________________________________________ audiophiles mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/audiophiles
