Is this when the tracks continue playing from one to the next, or when
you tel it to change tracks by fitting fwd/rev?

There have been issues with some file formats with "gapless"
transitions not working properly, but I'm not sure if that is what
you're describing. The only reason I can think of why it might be
different from one cd vs another is that some CDs fade down to true
digital silence between tracks, while others may have some noise floor
present, which will make a break in hte signal more audible.
