I posted a while back about converting my vinyl collection to electronic
format. The method I am using is to record the vinyl to a DVD with a
hard disc, burn a DVD and then strip out the sound track to a FLAC
file. The results are quite good but it is a very slow process and I
still have many records to go.

Recently, I found an advert for a product called the ADS TEch Instant
Music. It seems to be a stand alone box that you connect an analogue
source to and sends the digitized signal to the USB port of a PC. What
interests me is that it can produce WAV files as well as the usual MP3,
WMA etc and it avoids the problems of recording through a sound card in
the PC. The cost was 50 pounds UK.

I was interested to know has anyone tried this device and if so what
results did they get in terms of sound quality.
