You have understood my method correctly.  You are also right it is a
lot of work hence my search for a more timely method.  I have not had
any problem with sample rate adjustments and I have been pleased with
the results so far.

My point was that my experiences of trying to use a soundcard in the PC
is the level of noise within the PC.  I thought that having the
ADSTechbox outside the PC would reduce the noise.  From your comments I
guess that the soundcard in the ADS is just a low quality noisy thing.
