Yeah, I'm still working on it too (nearly a year later.....)!
I have the ADSTech box - it comes with a Nero software suite, and it
does exactly as you say - it records a .wav file to your hard-drive,
which you can then do whatever you like to.
In terms of sound quality...., well I'm happy with it. I'm pretty sure
the A/D converter doesn't qualify as audiophile, but but considering
the source material.... on some lp's I can hardly tell its lp, whereas
others, its rather obvious, for the usual reasons that to me make lp a
unique listening experience!
