Hi Clive, OK, so it seems I finally got it. You say the attenuation doesn't work for balanced outputs? But isn't the single ended i.e rca output just one side of the balanced version? If that was the case I really can't see why they shouldn't work for the whole analogue stage. And if you add attenuation... Isn't it adding some preamp capabilities after having made some effort to remove those things that block signal path to some degree?
