interesting ...the only time I heard tact ..it sound ...well just sort of processed ...even set to bypass it seemed to divest the music of some life. I expect that the unit was not correctly calibrated [though it had been dealer installed].
I've used the deq ...just feed it via the digital input and do the correction by hand rather than letting the units limited brain do it. you can get some extremely good results from it ...in fact you can get anything near for even double the cost.
