If you do not have a room problems with standing waves then you can not appreciate what the room correction does. Also it must be done properly, not too much corrected because it becomes sterile, and test multiple target curves.
I have a 9dB boost around the 130hz area, imagine listening to that without the correction, whole room rings when that frequency is played.
