No, the SF speakers are definitely not sibilant. I've been listening to various models for years. I'm VERY sensitive of this problem, I'm like you and I could never listen to speakers sounding sibilant, and SF are my favorite speakers.
So, let's see what else it can be. First, have you placed the speakers as proposed in SF brochure ? Second, which amplifier do you use ?
