Thanks for all your replies.

Yes, I gather sibilance is a real problem for some vocalists and
various mechanical and electronic methods are used to minimise it in
studios that care.
Are there any freely downloadable non-sibilant audiophile recordings
that anyone's aware off?

The room is around 6x5 metres, two sofas, carpeted and curtained. The
speakers are in the centre of a short wall, 2 metres apart 0.5 metres
into the room.
I've positioned the speakers and perched myself according to the SF
brochure without improvement.

Using the Copland CSA28 integrated at the moment, Transporter analogue
out (no attenuation) to amp CD input. Transporter volume set to around
10db so as not to overload amp input stage. I have tried various
combinations of volume settings.

I have considered the Inguz plugin, but I would need to upgrade my
server to run that - not dismissed though, I may have a play with this
over the holidays.

I have heard all of the Cremona range at my dealer and although I
wasn't listening for it, at no stage did I notice sibilance.
