Oh well it can be the recordings, personally I've come to peace with
fact that many recordings sounds like crap.

Some persons  take a very deep plunge into the audiophile rabbit hole
trying to fix the unfixable .

It can take some time to get used to new sound, the brain is an amazing
organ it adapts listen to your kit during the holliday and see.

Is it all brand new ? some speakers needs to played a while before
sounding ok.

Edit:
If things sounds different thats a good sign, some recordings sound
fantastic and some like p** p** .
gear that color the sound often has a signature sameness everything
sound the same all the time.
