Yes, I've been researching this a little, natural sibilance helps us
recognise many words that we may not have heard properly. I think most
of the sibilance I'm hearing is on the recordings as I can make out
evidence of effects added in the studio, sometimes though it sounds non
natural almost like white noise. It's the level of it though, I can
reduce the volume to just audible and the S's sound twice as loud as
the music.
