So, in the begining some track (albums) were playing loud and some too
low. That's why I started to set the replay gain (using foobar2000).
This system analyze all music and set album gain and track gain.

So now all track within an album sounds equally loud and if I mix
tracks between albums they also sounds equally loud.

However most of the albums were reduced by 3-10 db (some were
increased). This resulted in an overall impression that all music were
now playing too low (before just a few did), when comparing to other
music sources.
To compensate for this foobar2000 lets you adjsut a preamp with both +
and - preamp were SC only allows a - preamp, this is only for
playback.
Is foobar200 doing anything wrong here??

Anyway I resolved my worst problem by replacing my reciver+midsize
conventional music system with a SB BOOM, no more surprises when
setting the alarm late at night.
