OK, setting my Duet Reciever at max volume and SB3 at max volume makes my SB3 to sound louder, I guess the SB3 then have a higher voltage output. This volume are roughly the same as my other devices. What I want is to set my SC-units to ~50% volume and have them play as load as my other devices. Then I would like to adjust the volume with my Duet Controller. Reading what you say (if what I wanted to do with postive pre amp) I understand that it potentialy could produce a to high voltage signal for the amplifier. This would also apply to having a separate OP/preamp between before the signal input.
