It's all digital, but not all "digital" is the same thing. If the station is broadcasting in only two channels (left and right) then Transporter will be able to play it. If it's in surround sound, that's a completely different format and you would need a conventional AV receiver.
However, you may be able to set it to stereo only. If you have a Vip622 tuner or something similar, go to Main Menu -> System Setup -> Dolby Digital and choose "PCM only". The same kind of setting exists in many DVD players, video game consoles, etc, but not all. This setting should also ensure that you're not missing out on the dialogue for lack of a center channel.
