I dont think you can go wrong with the transporter if you have the cash!
There are tons of ways to MAXIMIZE the transporter sound that you may
want to explore.

You need to add some color. Probably the easy way would to put some
tubes in the signal path in the way of a cheap tube pre. Run you rotel
as a power amp. You could also run the transporter as a pre but not as
good an option in my opinion. Also you can experiment with t-amps,
depending on how sensitive your speakers are. I run my 86db maggies with
a 45wpc t-amp running dual 2050's. Its fine. Not concert hall levels,
but quite enough!
