I've a similar question. I've just got a Duet package, which I got mainly to check out the whole squeezebox experience (a Windows Home Server storing FLAC is my server) for the bedroom, with a view to perhaps getting a Transporter for my main setup later.
My question is, is the transporter worth the money, say over another receiver and a DAC (e.g. MagicDAC)? It seems awfully expensive. What would some of the benefits of a transporter be over that from a sound standpoint be?
