This thread has cost me real money... I have ordered a pair of AVI ADM9.1 speakers after thinking through my experiences with HiFi / Slim Audio (sorry, Logitech) / home studio gear (where active speakers rule) over the last few years. Some of the references got me reading around, Ashley from AVI responded directly to my e-mails - to cut a long story short my order is in.
