I certainly will. Unfortunately it can take a few days for deliveries
to reach our island, and Monday is a holiday in the UK.

I am really happy with the sound of my current system but accommodating
it in our living space is a pain. I just want to rationalise everything
down to the bare essentials fed by digital sources (the theme of this
thread of course is the utter rubbish pronounced on this subject in some
HiFi magazine articles). The kw250s was supposed to do that. It sounds
great but aesthetically it is big, ugly and incredibly heavy. It is too
wide for conventional HiFi furniture and I was about to order some
bespoke shelving before realising I might just be throwing more money on
the wrong solution. I had one of those "Duh" moments.

I would not consider anything other than powered monitors for my
(low-end) home studio. Even my bass guitar amp cabs are self-powered. It
makes sense so why hadn't I made the connection with my HiFi set-up? Not
sure really - anyway I have decided to try the AVIs as the worst I could
find in any review is that they are very revealing. That suits me. At
worst I will have some superb computer/studio monitors. At best I will
have a far more elegant and domestically acceptable solution for playing
the music I love.

As a bass player I now need to start saving for the bass sub. That
should rock the foundation!
