Same here. Tweaking and twiddling, not getting there 100 per cent in a difficult living room. Some weeks ago I took the plunge, ordered AVI ADM9.1 by chance, thinking I could return them if they were just hype. Well, they are not. They sound precise, with good frequency response, and paired with a decent sub they can compete with expensive floorstanders. Yes, they are revealing, but not harsh. Being active, they have less distortion than passives, which is a benefit if you want to crank them up a bit to rattle the neighbours... They are almost tailormade for my needs, with two optical inputs and one aux input. That means plug and play for SB3, Apple TV and a DVD player. -- extenso ------------------------------------------------------------------------ extenso's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=4858 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=64972 _______________________________________________ audiophiles mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/audiophiles
