OK. I stand corrected, but I was talking about microphones used for
recording actual music, not highly sensitive scientific instruments used
for listening to bees (amongst other things!).

You will note that the dynamic range of the B&K is 52.2 to 168 dB...
Not so good with quiet sounds then - but nice for measuring jet
engines.
