I am in the test stages of archiving my vinyl collection. Playing 176/24 wave recordings I made directly from the Korg MR 2000s or from DVD-As I created from the files, the sound is clearly better than from the files I produced when I recorded at 96/24 or the same files as processed through the Transporter. YMMV.
