The best EMI repression technique is quad-field cable. Canare sells a version of their line-level cable and that configuration will give you the best rejection of noise generated by external magnetic fields. You also should take care to keep power & speaker cables some distance from the low-level analog signal cables and cross at a right angles where necessary. RFI is trickier and to be honest, the best method of dealing with it is on the input of the equipment. High-end audio manufactures have a spotty record of following good design principles so I'd recommend using the Neutrik EMC-XLR connectors. They have a very nice design that puts the RFI filter in the best location, before the signal enters the chassis. http://www.neutrik.com/us/en/audio/204_1603252336/EMC-XLR_Series_productlist.aspx -- Kevin Haskins ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Kevin Haskins's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=30729 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=74715 _______________________________________________ audiophiles mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/audiophiles
