iTunes aside.. The high end magazines serve a purpose by keeping one abreast as to what is out there. There's nothing wrong with that, and it's all well and good until one realizes that many of these audio "gurus" have no more hearing ability than you or I (many have considerably less in my judgement). Since 1982 (my first subscription to TAS) these people have been hearing the musical truth revealed over and over...in multi-thousand dollar increments.
Take them for what they are worth. An opinion.
