I use a pair of A5s with my Transporter and find them absolutely
brilliant.
Replaces a whole audio setup for me, I just feed the XLR outputs of the
Transporter into the A5s.

It's by far the best I've had (OK, that doesn't mean too much) in terms
of clarity and transparency.

That said: there are a few things to consider.

- Neither the Transporter nor the A5s alter the sound significantly,
they are both very neutral systems. Now while people generally make a
lot of fuss about not distorting signals etc. it's not necessarily what
everybody prefers, some people prefer a "warmer" sound that is more
forgiving to the source material...
- Which is the next point: You will hear the quality of your source
material. I can clearly tell mp3 from lossless at least for recordings
that don't compress sound too much (might not be a big difference for
the latest studio recording of last year's Pop Idol winners but a lot of
difference on about any live recording). So you'll probably throw away
you low-bitrate mp3s.
- I only use the A5s. This is lacking a bit of bass yet I use them in a
rather small room, ~25m2, and found the combination with the sub too
aggressive. I should add that I'm generally a bit allergic against
subwoofer setups, I find it very, very hard to get the crossover done
right. But I'd recommend to test the setup and to only use the sub for
larger rooms.
