At CEDIA 2009, I spent several hours listening/testing the new line of
Adam Speakers. The A7 with Sub 7 was impressive considering the
environment it was in. The A5 with a Sub 7 is nice also. I have
AudioEngine A5s (which I think sound good with an SB3) and the Adams are
well above the AudioEngines. Not exactly audiophile in my book but a
good speaker setup for smaller rooms or when space is an issue. I am
also of the option that the foundation of music is built on bass, bass
that is tight, deep, and accurate which is why I recommend using full
range floor standing speakers whenever possible.

So the A5/A7s with a Sub 7 really helps these well thought out 2 way
monitors. Of course then I listened to the Gammas, Betas, and Alphas
making it hard to go back and listen to the A7s.

If one can afford the A7s, I say go that route over the A5. The larger
woofer gives it more bottom and makes the Sub 7 blend better.
