I compared directly A7 with P11A and purchased the latter, despite the higher price tag. P11A are slightly more resolving in the midrange, even though it may appear as more dry sound. Obviously, the question is whether this subtle improvement is worth extra money.
I think A7 are very hard to match in their price range. To get a comparable sound from separated sets (amp + passive speakers), you have to pay much more, where "much" means at least 5-6 times.
