Very cool. I did something similar except I just used a CPLD and the Transporter has a word clock input so I didnt' have to go futzing with a purchased box. What I really wanted but never did find was a nice OCXO at 24.576 MHz or maybe double that. I'd love to have one at 11.whateveritisyouuseforcd too. So I settled for just a 20 ppm oscillator. And I run a fully balanced audio chain so I have 4 nice K-grade 1704s and discrete JFET analog bits. What did you find for oscillators and how did you source them? One cool thing I did also to control jitter is use relays to shut down the power to the oscillator that isn't being used and each oscillator gets its own regulated supply. I also isolated the digital ground from the analog grounds and each analog channel has its own ground on the PCB. The big boys think they're tricky if they have 2 different supplies. My DAC is essentially 3 completely separate circuit islands on the same PCB and I think I counted about 13 regulators total. -- wayne325 ------------------------------------------------------------------------ wayne325's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=29916 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=79677 _______________________________________________ audiophiles mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/audiophiles
