Very cool.  I did something similar except I just used a CPLD and the
Transporter has a word clock input so I didnt' have to go futzing with
a purchased box.

What I really wanted but never did find was a nice OCXO at 24.576 MHz
or
maybe double that.  I'd love to have one at 11.whateveritisyouuseforcd
too.

So I settled for just a 20 ppm oscillator.  And I run a fully balanced
audio chain so I have 4 nice K-grade 1704s and discrete JFET analog
bits.

What did you find for oscillators and how did you source them?

One cool thing I did also to control jitter is use relays to shut down
the
power to the oscillator that isn't being used and each oscillator gets
its
own regulated supply. I also isolated the digital ground from the
analog
grounds and each analog channel has its own ground on the PCB. The big
boys think they're tricky if they have 2 different supplies. My DAC is
essentially 3 completely separate circuit islands on the same PCB and
I
think I counted about 13 regulators total.
