That's funny. I never had to use VHDL, much to my happiness. We use SystemVerilog at work. My day job is designing FPGAs for telecom gear. Lately I've been thinking of going really state of the art for a DAC using an FPGA (Spartan-6 perhaps) and sounds like you're already in there, having all the fun. If I do it, it will do some cubic spline calcs and regenerate quadrature samples, like Wadia do. Now THAT would be da bomb for a pseudo-amateur built DAC. Now I've read thru the Silcon Labs info, I really wish I had that stuff in my exisiting DAC. I guess I could do a daughtercard if I really wanted to, but seems like a lot of work for probably not much audible gain. -- wayne325 ------------------------------------------------------------------------ wayne325's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=29916 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=79677 _______________________________________________ audiophiles mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/audiophiles
