If sound quality is your primary concern, i would recommend the Transporter. You will find from a bit of reading through the forum that opinions vary quite a bit on the topic but I strongly prefer the TP even as a transport (to the Touch). It's "death" does not concern me too much other than a wish for continued evolution. The sound quality is certainly SOTA in my room and thats what matters to me.
