I'm not sure that's a valid argument in this kind of debate. After all, how many people have done blind, level-matched comparisons between different DACs and been able to tell the difference? As far as I can tell the answer is zero*. So going by that, the OP should stick with the SB3 and save for some better speakers. *You can sometimes tell the difference by the background noise level, if you turn the system up high and put your ear close to a tweeter (while it's not playing, or playing silence).
