I somewhat disagree. I had PWD as well in my system for over a week. The only field where PWD lost to Transporter was in high-rez, to my impression with PWD these formats sounded more like red-book. But with CD-quality signals, PWD rocks. Better in every respect - wider soundstage, better imaging, more musical and no this digital 'edginess'..
Besides, PWD is kind of very "beefy", well-built unit, piano black glass polished wood top panel. Very quality components inside.
