There was a time when people thought "digital was digial". We know better now. Implementation is everything. The important thing to remember is that there are many variables in the puzzle. Lets not get too "hung up" on the digital. Its important, but the analog portion is much more important. Dont get me wrong - I LOVE the squeezebox implementation. I'm sure there are better ones. We get back to - bang for the buck. I'm not looking to mess with the digital at this stage. I have had bigger gains from replacing a cap than I ever expect to get from an equal outlay in digital "tweaks". I'm digging on my new ELNA electrolytic caps I switched out on my t-amp. Nice "analog" sound for $2.50 a pop. There is something to this whole DIY thing.
