Back to the PWD. The "digital lens" (a memory buffer to reclock the data) is built in PWT (transport) and the Bridge. Hence, there is no buffering/reclocking if you use PWD as a standalone DAC. Ergo PWD+Bridge *should* sound better than Transporter+PWD.
