RF seems to be of significant influence. At present I am running my SB
into a DPA Little Bit 3 (See the brochure page here:
http://www.acoustica.org.uk/DPA/DPA_brochures/pages/Scan10010.htm)
where 'extensive' RF filtering was engineered. 

The DPA has a very good sound, and I will only replace it if I hear
something significantly better! Maybe the new Rega DAC at £498 would be
a candidate here - it looks very well built.

And although more expensive - from a friend I have heard that the
Blacknote DACs from Italy sound superb albeit a more pricey alternative
