I see where you are coming from, the Audio Note DAC is great and you want to feed it with the best quality source possible. For that reason - I see strong merit in the idea of using a V-Link which in effect would be the new clock source and spdif source for the Audio Note - plus it does not have any other overheads that many are using the software mods for to quieten down. If you are concerned about getting good power to the V-Link (or V-Dac for that matter) I understand that the V-PSU is an upgrade to both. I think it's quite versatile to have a single PSU that can accommodate up to three of the V-Series from MF. There are other alternatives to the V-Link however - and one which springs to my mind is the Halide Bride. You can always try then compare against your modded SBT. If you like the DAC - keep it - and yes, try to improve the source using the thinking you are adopting now. -- stop-spinning ------------------------------------------------------------------------ stop-spinning's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=43254 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=86328 _______________________________________________ audiophiles mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/audiophiles
