So the sound difference was very real.
Get a friend to switch between sources without your knowledge (wear a sleep mask perhaps). Have the volume level the same on both sources and don't have him tell you when he's switching sources if possible. Get your helpful and patient friend/spouse to sometimes not switch sources also. Unfortunately due to the laser reading of CD players this may be a giveaway of the source. Of course this isn't a double blind test due to the examiner knowing what you're listening to but it may help you know for certain that you know what you are hearing is for real or just placebo (not the band Placebo mind you, although that would be funny. At least you'd know that's it's all a Placebo effect ;) ) -- drewe181 Slim Devices Squeezebox 3 Modified Logitech Squeezebox Touch Logitech Squeezebox Radio iPhone with iPeng iPad with iPeng HD FLAC FLAC and more FLAC http://www.studionika.com.au ------------------------------------------------------------------------ drewe181's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=8129 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=88345
