I suspect the LFD would be great for easier to drive speakers, but not mine. "A single pair of MOSFET output transistors per channel delivers the rated 60W," seems like it would lack the bass control I'm after.
I'm not even sure Bryston's 100W integrated is up to the job, although I have seriously considered the B100 SST as it is built to last and very nicely engineered from all that I've read, as it should be for $4,700. The idea of a class-D with plenty of drive power and headroom has occurred to me as well, including those offered by Wyred4Sound. I'm just a little scared that the Wyred4Sound amps can sound a little edgy and relentless, especially with the metal tweeters I happen to have in my speakers. -- dsdreamer ---------------------- "Dreamer, easy in the chair that really fits you..." ------------------------------------------------------------------------ dsdreamer's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=12588 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=88452 _______________________________________________ audiophiles mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/audiophiles
