But I doubt that its a cable or (pre-)amp problem. The last time it happened just reloading the firmware corrected it.
At the moment I am trying to set up squeezebox server on my server (I sick of the latency in the server interface hosted by the ReadyNAS). But I'm running Fedora 15 and there are "issues" with the server on that platform.
