The change to variable/fixed volume output on the Transporter is a software setting. Sometimes it doesn't take much of a hiccup on a computer to throw a setting off balance. It sounds like you had it set to variable before (when everything was working fine), then it accidentally switched to 100% output level (with the distortion problem) and then was restored when you switched it back to variable. I'd go for that explanation - everything adds up nicely. I'd also encourage you to adjust the internal volume jumpers. That way, even if the unit jumps to 100% output again, it won't overload the preamp inputs. -- mlsstl ------------------------------------------------------------------------ mlsstl's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=9598 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=88806 _______________________________________________ audiophiles mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/audiophiles
