Here is the answer regarding the Fidelity Audio Clock: "We use a 7 x 5 mm oscillator. Usually sourced from Gollege. Temp stability at 25 deg C is 50ppm. They are the same oscillators Micromega and a few others use" This is my fourth day of listening to the device. Most definitely an improvement, especially in terms of overall liquidity, ease of presentation, fine treble detail and and overall "rightness" of the sound. Original squeezebox, when compared, is rougher around the edges but has more impact and sharper transients. More oomph (specialized audiophile expression). As I cannot stop tinkering anyway, I will try the clock with 9V or something into the dedicated clock regulator, which accepts 5-12 V. Do you guys think a 9V battery would do the trick, or should I try with a very high-quality transformer and regulator?
