John is rigth in a more general sense .

Designing circiuts is almost " holistic " ( ugh such a miss used new
age buzzword ).

All components works together no values/ choice of component are
coincidents.

Thats why the " audiophile component swap " often is a fail, you must
really know what it does.

If you are not able to design that circuit yourself, you are not able
to decide which components to swap either.

Componet swap can give unexpected results, even with a " better "
component, the designer often knew that and it could rise problems
somewhere else in the design a god designers knows what a components
secondary characteristic does to his design Q of capacitors etc.

You can ofcourse swap and listen by ear and give us all funny
audiophile anecdotes for our amusement :)

"Design by anectotes read on forums" is not a way to design circiuts
