^ Agree with you guys. I tried to be encouraging, but as you guys say there's a LOT more to it than just connecting random stuff together. Which I mentioned originally, but OTOH I didn't want to discourage somebody who was maybe thinking of dipping their toes into DIY...which is how I participate in audio (listening to music) as a hobby, otherwise it's like watching TV which IMO is hardly a hobby...
