I happen to have a 1m terminated cable and a 1ft length of unterminated cable which I'm about to use to hardwire my Touch to my DAC. I guess comparing the two wouldn't solve the 1m vs >1.5m debate. So if I wanted to experiment I'd need to buy a 2m terminated cable of equal quality and then try and sell the "loser" or maybe sell both terminated cables and keep the 1ft length.
