+1 electronics is pretty one dimensional compared to speakers , you can
never have a transparent speaker it will impose a signature .

But here again audiophiles excell in making the wrong optimisations for
example extremely expensive miniature stand mounted 2 way speakers , you
get to the "end" of this concept pretty fast , you can't cheat physics
one 5" driver can only move so much air and quickly gets  nonlinear and
start to compress etc and also brand name drivers and silly passive
xover components that's cost more than an active filter that is 1000
times better ( a bunch of op amps better any passive filter ).

You can have good audiophile speakers but the price is basically down to
suboptimal solution in many cases. Or extremely lush fit and finish that
are of furniture art quality , but was it not sound quality we discussed
?
