I think it is like that to , scarlet book spec talk about a low pass
fillter do attenuate the ultrasonic grunge that DSD produces , this
should be implemented in the DAC or SACD player .
And I suppose a DSD ready DAC does this or they should .

But some are converting DSD to PCM which in itself is ok and possibly
transparent ,but you should implement some kind of filter when doing
this the easiest way is apparently to use 24/88.2 then it is brick
walled at 44.1 kHz or use some other algorithm to mimic the filter in
the spec ( details unknown to me it may be a gentler slope beginning a t
30k ? More googling ar actualy paying for the spec is needed) when using
higher rates .
And of course HD tracks have some files with unusual amounts if
ultrasonic noise in them ?
